About Me
I was called to be a doula after receiving amazing care during the births of my two boys. My births were empowering and beautiful; I wanted to support other expecting parents as their families began and grew. In 2016 I completed Birth Doula training through D.O.N.A. and am currenly cerified through D.O.N.A. I completed Placental Encapsulation training through I.P.P.A. in 2017. I hold and M.S. in Biology and have had a life-long interest in reproductive physiology.
My Philosophy
-
Birth is a life-altering event that should be respected & revered.
-
Mothers are strong and deserve positive, empowering birth experiences.
-
Parents posses wisdom and make the best choices for their families when they are well informed.
-
Families deserve support, without judgment, for their choices during childbearing.
-
All birthing people deserve respectful, supported births, regardless of their economic status, ability, weight, race, ethnicity, or identity as LBGTQ people.
